Aerial Projection 3D Display Based on Integral Imaging

We proposed an aerial projection 3D display based on integral imaging. It is composed of a projector, lens-array holographic optical element (HOE), and two parabolic mirrors. The HOE diffraction grating made by the volume holography technique. can be produced thin glass plate, it has properties lens array when Bragg condition satisfied. When beams image (EIA) are projected HOE, images reconstructed. mirrors project into air. Bragg-unmatched light simply passes through HOE. Therefore, appear to imaged in air without any medium. In experiment, BenQ projector was used for images, with resolution 1600 × 1200. diameter height each mirror 150 mm 25 mm, respectively. inner 40 mm. were air, experimental results prove correctness our system.
